While waiting for my carryout at a local restaurant in Livonia, Michigan, I wandered around outside with the sole purpose of locating interesting items for my iPhone 365 Project. I took photos of a number of things, but wanted to find something that looked nice with the harsh sunlight.
I walked over to a batch of yellow summer lilies and was disappointed they weren’t at their freshest. Nonetheless, I searched for one that allowed the sunlight to fall on it at an interesting angle. Of all the photos, this one’s my favorite.
What do you think? An interesting iPhone macro??

I took a stroll along the Detroit Riverwalk to get some exercise during lunch today. The Detroit Princess was moored to the pier along the Detroit River today. Some people incorrectly believe the Detroit Princess is a restored Boblo Boat, but it’s just a myth. The Boblo Boats were considered for repurposing, but they were deemed to be beyond repair … plus the Detroit Princess is enclosed with air conditioning!

Today’s photo is of the Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It is better known as the Ren Cen and is the current headquarters for General Motors.

Today is Father’s Day! We decided to take the kids to the Detroit Zoo (actually in Royal Oak, Michigan) for some quality family time to see the penguins (for Alec) and crocodiles (for Genevieve). Of course, we checked out some other their other exhibits like the Arctic Zone with the Polar Bears, but we primarily went there for the penguins and crocs. We spent the better part of the day at the Detroit Zoo and I took a lot of great photos with my DSLR and iPhone. But, of all things the zoo had, I really liked one the toys they had at the playground. It would be really hard to describe without a photo, so here it is!
What is it?!
