I really have a strong dislike for fluorescent lighting. It gives everything such a ghastly color cast I try to avoid it at all costs.
In fact, if there was ever a single “rule” handed out for photographing indoors, it has to be, “avoid fluorescent lighting.” However, rules are made to be broken … especially if your subject is the fluorescent light itself. I walked under this two 48″ bulb fixture today and the thought the reflective material was actually kind of nice. Can you tell where the actual bulbs are?
