Day 18: Zoe Stares Down a Squirrel

by Paul Manoian on January 18, 2010

I had a number of potential shots for my iPhone 365 Project post today.  But, none of them struck a chord with me quite like this one.  Zoe, one of our Bassets, wanted to go outside-inside-outside-inside all day today … not because she needed to … nope.  It’s very tiring to say the least.  She didn’t have to go out.  She just wanted to chase the squirrels that frequent our back yard.

After I finally had enough, I told her she couldn’t go out.  So, she just sat at the door and whined.  She was short enough that the light coming in from the  doorwall barely lit the top of her head and washed down her sides.

Anyone have a Basset story to share?

Beautiful light! The quality of iPhone photos that I’m seeing is really amazing me. Not to mention you had a beautiful model ;)

Thanks for the compliments! The iPhone 3Gs actually gives you a little bit of control over exposure and balance. With a little practice, it actually provides decent results. Hopefully our other Basset model will get in some of the photos in the near future (NOTE: Zukey’s tail made it into the bottom left of today’s shot).
