Day 22: Livonia Observer and Eccentric Loading Dock

by Paul Manoian on January 22, 2010

Today’s iPhone 365 Project post is one of the loading docks from the abandoned Livonia Observer and Eccentric building off I-96.  The Observer vacated the building in 2008 and relocated its editorial department to downtown Detroit.  The building has been deteriorating ever since.

Last Fall, an automotive component manufacturer announced they were buying the building and would start renovations in April 2010.  They plan to finish in October 2010 and hire at least 35 people.  The metro Detroit area could certainly use it!

I wish them the best!
