The first thing I saw when I got up this morning was our favorite squirrel waiting by the kitchen window for his daily serving of freebies. I grabbed a handful of unsalted peanuts and placed them on the porch railing for him. He immediately started chowing down giving me an opportunity to snap this iPhone pic.
The snow and bright sunlight behind the squirrel were too much for the iPhone to handle and created a blown out high-key effect. However, the opportunity to photograph him from one foot away was too much to pass up!
One of these days he’s going to try to hop in the window when I open it to feed him. Until then, he gets to live outside in the nest high up in one of our Maple trees.
For what it’s worth, the kids named him “Squirrely”. Go figure.
