Senior Portrait Session – Michigan Seniors Photographer

by Paul Manoian on September 25, 2009

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to work with Kristen for her yearbook head shot portrait. All of the different shots turned out great. However, they can’t hold a candle to the proofs from her senior lifestyle portrait session that took place this evening. Her new proofs are amazing!!

I took hundreds of photos over the course of a couple of hours. After looking at them, I’m dreading having to go through all of them because I don’t think it’s going to be possible to whittle them down to a manageable list to post to her online gallery. I posted some of them below as a sneak peek.

But … be sure to leave comments below to help her win FREE wallets!!

Also, don’t forget about the Class of 2011 Model Search currently under way.  If you know someone entering their Junior year, please have them check it out.  If selected, they will receive a free senior portrait session as well as their images on marketing materials, signs and anything else where I think they would look great!  In addition, they will receive credits to purchase prints for their own senior portraits when their friends book sessions as a result of their referrals.  Click here to check it out.

These are wonderful. I love the one where she is looking out of the window. Great lighting & expression. I am sure she will love these…much better than the large chains that do the boiler plate senior photographs.

Trudy, thanks for the VERY kind words! We had a great couple of hours for the shoot. I used 100% available light for every photo including all of the indoor shots. I usually use a couple of reflectors, but thought I’d try to handle it differently and position/compose based solely on the natural light that was available.

I agree with Trudy. The first time I saw these, my first thought was how great the lighting was. Great pic’s, although having a beautiful subject helps!

When I glance at your pictures, I can’t help but stop and stare at them because they are stunning! Way better than my other daughter’s wedding portraits.

Love,

Father
