Photography is not my job nor hobby. It is my passion. There are no words to describe the connection between photos and emotion. Yet, the perfect photo is able to capture a thousand words. My style is relaxed and contemporary. My goal is to make lasting impressions of your special moments and capture them in time, full of life. Together, we will discuss the options available and design the perfect session to create a unique piece of family history.
Since I primarily shoot on location at an outdoor retreat, your favorite spot or in your home, I often rely on the beauty of natural light and may choose to modify it with diffusers and reflectors. Even so, I use studio lighting when appropriate and will combine it with available natural light based on the time and day and location.
Once your session is scheduled, a location will be decided. Since many of the best portraits occur in everyday places like a child’s bedroom, front porch or backyard, I will photograph at your home or an agreed upon location. Most sessions typically last from one to two hours.
Being a father of two, I recognize the importance of keeping young children happy and relaxed. They will be encouraged to eat snacks or have breaks as necessary. I may even ask you to step aside so they can play and be themselves without constantly being prompted to smile or “look at the camera”.
After your session is over your proofs will be made available online. I will email you a password that you can use to view your online gallery and share with family and friends.
