As a Detroit model photographer<\/a>, I have the opportunity to work with many talented individuals for their head shots and comp cards, not to mention all of the talented hair stylists and makeup artists!\u00a0 But, some of my favorite sessions are those where the full concept has been planned out and I’m bringing the photographic experience to the team to help pull off the over all look.<\/p>\n

I recently had the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals on a “Marilyn Monroe” concept photo shoot.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The challenge with this particular shoot was to pull off a sultry emotion in the images without being onsite at an appropriate location and only using a white background. The lighting setup was beyond simple (I used a single Elinchrom soft box!) so everything was in the careful positioning of the light itself to provide the overall effect.\u00a0 This is especially important with this shoot since I wanted to have a beautiful light fall off so so viewers could still see portions of “Marilyn” that weren’t directly lit without details being obvious.\u00a0 With such a simple lighting setup and background, proper styling was critical for this particular photo shoot and everything came together to add to the overall look.\u00a0 I really love the final images and definitely think we pulled off the feel we were going for.<\/div>\n
