As a Michigan actors headshots photographer, I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to work with so many established as well as up and coming actors throughout Metro Detroit and Michigan. It’s even better when they call me knowing how important it is to have high quality headshots.

It is pretty much an industry-wide practice for casting agents and agencies to require headshots prior to scheduling an acting audition with you. Since your headshots are often the only visual representation Agencies have of you, it is extremely important that that be of a high quality and truly represent you. They should be natural and not obviously retouched or Photoshop’d. In fact, it will do you more harm than good to submit improperly retouched images since the Agencies will know they don’t “look like you” the moment you step in their door. Simply put, professionally produced headshots are critical to your acting success!

I recently had the opportunity to work with Carla to update her headshots and comp cards. She is in the process of updating her headshots and comp cards and indicated she wanted to do an outdoor session and incorporate brick walls. So, we hit the streets of Metro Detroit and captured some great images that are truly going to help her market herself to casting agencies. I’m still finishing up her online proof gallery, but selected some of my favorites so far to include as a sneak peek below. I love the way her new shots turned out!
