We booked Paul to take pictures at our son’s first birthday party, which in our culture is considered one of the two main birthdays in our life time. He understood exactly what kind of moments we wanted to have preserved on film, and he delivered. We were completely satisfied with his pictures, the angles he found to capture many special moments, and how he became ‘invisible’ to the people present to make the candid shots happen. He is reliable to work with and easily available by phone or email. We will definitely contact Paul again for our next big event.

It was fun working with Paul on my new headshots! He allowed me to be me and captured so many great moments. I’ve had excellent experience with both photo sessions with Mr. Paul Manoian. After two disappointing experiences with individuals who were supposedly professional, I was fortunate to find Paul’s website, and after examining portfolio samples available, I decided to give it a try. We had two sessions, one in the studio and one outdoors, and both were successful. I had a good idea of the kinds of photos I wanted, and I had communicated this to Paul. He clearly kept this in mind during the sessions and made his best attempt to achieve our goal. I also like how I was able to screen all the shots leisurely and choose the very best ones. I doubt you will find a more courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable photographer in the area!

Plan a wedding in 6 months? We did! With limited time and budget we began researching area photographers and discovered many required a high end deposit and were not what we wanted. Paul Manoian Photography’s a la carte pricing was a good fit for our budget and Paul was able to accommodate our date and expectations. Being a laid back couple, we didn’t want a lot of formal photography throughout our day. It was important to us that our venue & ceremony be the emphasis and for Paul to capture us and our guests in the moment, unaware. He accomplished this beautifully.

Wonderful photos and wonderful experience! I had my senior pictures done by Paul in Detroit and in my home. I am truly blown away at how awesome the pictures of my son came out. Mind you it was like pulling tooth getting him up and ready for the shoot. Paul is a superstar! Best photographer experience I’ve had. He was so helpful and so willing to go with whatever I wanted for my photos. As we passed through my locations, he pointed out great spots and poses, and I was thankful that he showed me the photos on his camera in between shots and locations. Didn’t waste any time, was very prompt, kind, and as excited about my photos as I was and as my mom was! I definitely feel like I got what I paid for, and with the experience, I feel like I got even more than what I paid for. Great photographer. I wanted some modeling portfolio pictures taken to start my modeling career and the pictures are great! Paul is an amazing photographer and knows how to capture all the right shots. I am so happy with how my shoot went and how the photos turned out!! I can’t wait to work with him again.

Paul did a wonderful job for my son’s Senior pictures. My son was not in the best mood due to it raining out that day, but you would never know it by the pictures and he now has some wonderful photos with reflections on the wet streets that no one else has for their Senior pictures. We were referred to Paul to get my 15 yr old daughter Sarah’s head shots for her applications for musical theater applications this summer. The weather would not cooperate for Fall pictures but Paul had no problem rescheduling based on the Michigan weather we were dealing with. Our son came into his senior picture session with a theme in his mind that Paul was willing to work with and recreate. Our son is a duck hunter and wanted pictures that reflect that, i.e having his dog, shotgun and decoys as props and Paul was willing to incorporate all those things in his session. Paul was even able to get actual ducks in some of his pictures during a stop at a cider mill! Overall, our experience with Paul was professional and he provided our son with what he wanted to be reflected in his senior pictures.

it was a pleasure working with Paul! He was easy to communicate with, quick to respond, told me exactly what to expect, and while in the past, posed pictures with my son felt like pulling teeth, this was quick and relatively painless! Paul knows his stuff! Excited to see the final pictures!
