Senior Pictures with Horses Ideas
As a high school senior, you want your pictures to be unique and special. One way to make your senior pictures stand out is to incorporate horses into the shoot. Horses can provide a beautiful backdrop for your photos and create an unforgettable experience. Here are some ideas for incorporating horses into your senior pictures.
Choose the Right Horse
The first step in planning your horse-themed senior pictures is to choose the right horse. If you have access to a horse of your own, that’s great! If not, if you REALLY want to incorporate a horse into your photos, you may need to rent one from a local stable or find someone who owns a horse that they’re willing to let you use for the shoot. Just keep in mind that, to many people, a horse is a pet just like cat or a dog. You likely would not want to borrow someone else’s dog for your senior pictures. So, unless you are using a close friend’s horse for your session, it would likely come off as strange to “ask around” for a horse to borrow. If all else fails, try contacting a place like the Maybury Riding Stable inside Maybury State Park.
When choosing a horse, make sure it has the right look and personality for the type of photos you want. You may also want to consider its size and color so that it complements your outfit and poses.

Find the Perfect Location
Once you’ve chosen the perfect horse, it’s time to find the perfect location for your shoot. Look for places with scenic backdrops like fields, forests, or beaches. If possible, try to find locations with natural elements like trees or flowers that will add texture and color to your photos. You may also want to consider any special features of the area such as barns or stables that could provide interesting props for your photos.

Plan Your Outfit
When planning what to wear for your senior pictures with horses, think about what style best suits you and complements the location you’ve chosen. Consider colors that will stand out against both the background and the horse itself. You may also want to bring along accessories like riding pants, boots, bridles, or hats that can add an extra layer of interest and personality to your photos.

Pose Ideas
When posing with horses in your senior pictures, there are many options available depending on what kind of look you’re going for. For a classic look, try posing on top of or alongside the horse while holding its reins or mane in one hand and looking off into the distance in front of you. For something more creative, try having someone else lead the horse while you pose alongside it in different ways such as sitting on its back or standing next to it with one hand on its neck or mane. No matter what poses you choose, make sure they are comfortable for both yourself and the horse so everyone can enjoy their time together!

I am Truly Blown Away
I am truly blown away at how awesome the pictures of my son came out. Mind you it was like pulling tooth getting him up and ready for the shoot. Paul was very kind, patient and professional it working with Matthew. The pictures are crisp and clean. He made it look like Matthew was actually enjoying the session. Matthew has had an opportunity to look at a few of the proofs and can’t wait to see the rest. Awesome is the only way I can describe the actual shots. I love the outcome soooo much, I plan on scheduling a session for my daughter and grand-daughter this September. Paul has a great deal of knowledge. I wanted the day to be bright and sunny. Learned from Paul, you actually want a time that’s early in the morning when the sun may not be so high. Awesome experience.
We can't wait to work with you!
