Are you a looking to capture memories of your last year in high school with a Detroit senior pictures session? That’s exactly what Madison wanted and we delivered!
Madison is a senior at John Glenn High School in Westland, MI and knew she wanted to use downtown Detroit as the backdrop for her senior pictures session. We started off at St. Andrews Hall and made our way through Greektown and up Woodward to the stunning and renowned Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA).
The Detroit Institute of Arts makes for a perfect setting for senior graduation photos. It is renowned for its expansive collection of artwork and cultural artifacts and has one of the largest and most significant art collections in the United States.
The DIA has been a beacon of culture for the Detroit area for well over a century. Founded in 1885, the museum was originally located on Jefferson Avenue, but, due to its rapidly expanding collection, moved to a larger site on Woodward Avenue in 1927. The new Beaux-Arts building, designed by Paul Cret, was immediately referred to as the “temple of art.” The DIA’s collection is among the top six in the United States, comprising a multicultural and multinational survey of human creativity from prehistory through the 21st century.
