Michigan dance and ballet students have been filling up my inbox recently with email inquiries about scheduling studio dance sessions to capture award winning images for their dance portfolios. As a Michigan dance photographer, I’ve been overwhelmed with the interest. More importantly, I absolutely love these sessions!

I have quickly realized that there is a huge need for quality Michigan dance photography – especially in Metro Detroit – to offer professionals, amateurs and students an easy way to get wonderful photo without having to deal with poor stage lighting. There is no longer a need to browse through thousands of photos that friends and families have taken from the audience looking for a mediocre shot of themselves. There are no more disappointing photos. No more grainy, poorly focused images. I am able to work with them one on one to capture their best moments in action.
I recently did a dance photography session with Cassie in the studio that was very soulful and artistic. We really focused on capturing her in motion and the final results are amazing.
