As a Detroit actor headshots photographer, I feel very fortunate to be able to work with so many established as well as up and coming talented actors throughout Metro Detroit and Michigan.

It is an industry-wide practice for casting agents and casting agencies to require headshots prior to scheduling an acting audition. Since your headshots are often the only visual representation Agencies have of you, it is extremely important that that be of a high quality and truly represent you. They should be as natural as possible and not retouched in an obvious way. They certainly should not be “Photoshop’d” to the point where agencies would not recognize you in the photo. You will actually do you more harm than good if you submit improperly retouched images since the Agencies will know they don’t “look like you” the moment you step in their door. Simply put, professionally produced, natural headshots are critical to your casting and acting success!

I recently had the opportunity to work with Juan to update his professional acting headshot for IMDB. Juan had a credited role in the new Superman v. Batman movie that was partially filmed in Detroit, MI so I was excited to work with him. So, we hit the studio and captured some great images that are truly going to help him market himself to additional casting agencies. I selected one of my favorites and included it below.
