As a Detroit model headshot photographer, I have the opportunity to work with a large number of established as well as up-and-coming models through the Metro Detroit region. It has been a busy couple of years working on everything from model head shots to model comp cards and everything in between throughout the Detroit and southeast Michigan area. So busy, that I’m far behind in writing blog posts and I need to catch up.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Katelyn for a model headshot session. She is new to modeling, but did a fantastic job considering she’s only 14! For her model headshots, I did not want simple, flat lighting. We working with the studio strobes to give her a variety of different images. We ultimately went with flattering light that still provided a few subtle shadows. I used a combination of various beauty dishes and softboxes to get the light just right. The end result is absolutely gorgeous! She should be very happy with the images from her very first photo shoot!
