As a Detroit kids headshots photographer, I am blessed to be able to work so many talented kids throughout the Metro Detroit area. Just like their full-size acting counterparts, a GREAT headshot is a MUST! There are a lot of items that work together to make a great kids acting head shot. Here are my Top 3 Tips to consider based on our experience in providing professional child actor head shots:

PROFESSIONAL – You are a professional and your headshot must match suit. There can’t be anything amateurish about it.
MAINSTREAM – You need to have a mainstream look that will appeal to as many people as possible.
STYLE – You have to be properly styled and natural.

The formula is simple: PROFESSIONAL + MAINSTREAM + STYLE = GREAT HEADSHOT! Of course, it is not always that easy to actually put together the right pieces. But, it every case, it is always beneficial to have a professional makeup artist/stylist on-set during the shoot to work with you and help primp hair and clothes in between each shot to help ensure you look your best!
