I recently had the opportunity to work with Jacob for an Ann Arbor senior pictures session. Jacob is a senior at Stevenson High School in Livonia, MI and knew he wanted to do his session in Ann Arbor. In particular, he wanted to use the Law Quad, Nickels Arcade, and Vault of Midnight as backdrops for his images. I love it when a senior knows exactly what they want because it helps me better understand their personality and ensure it comes out in the final images.
In case you have never been there, Vault of Midnight is a very cool store with everything you would ever want for pop culture swag and graphic novels (i.e. comics). Their mission is to:
To provide our customers with a unique and remarkable shopping experience that confounds the expectations of what is typically associated with a comic shop;
To act as ambassadors for all things geeky and to present our wares as the awesome, fun, and universally accessible pieces of entertainment that they are.

Of course, the Law Quad and Nickels Arcade are great locations, too. Located in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, Nickels Arcade offers an eclectic selection of backdrops for the perfect senior photo session. The amazing skylights and intricate architecture exude a timeless beauty that is ideal for capturing graduations photos. The Law Quad is also a wonderful one-of-a-kind location with incredible stone buildings and archways.
I know Jacob and his family are anxious to see his proofs, but I still have some work to do to finish up everything. So, I selected some of my favorites and included them below as a sneak peek. Which photo is your favorite? Please be sure to leave a comment below and let him know!
