Troy is a senior at Renaissance High School in Detroit, MI and a member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Civic Youth Ensemble (CYE) program.

Since its founding in 1970, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Civic Youth Ensembles (CYE) has grown to provide musicians of all ages a comprehensive music education experience. CYE’s mission is to cultivate every student’s artistic and creative potential through rewarding musical experiences while developing meaningful skills outside the arts.

Troy needed professional musician headshots for his university and summer program applications. So, of course, we headed directly to Orchestra Hall in downtown Detroit, MI where some of the world’s greatest musicians have graced the stage including Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman. We spent an hour together and captured some stunning images for his portfolio.
