Elijah’s senior portraits session gave us the best of both worlds, capturing Detroit’s urban vibe over the summer and later embracing Michigan’s seasonal beauty with fall senior portraits at Heritage Park in Farmington Hills. After a three-hour shoot in Detroit, Elijah wanted to make sure he captured the rich autumn colors, so we set out to Heritage Park, a perfect spot with its sprawling 211 acres and 4.5 miles of hiking trails. Surrounded by vibrant fall leaves, each shot of Elijah’s session reflected the warm, earthy tones that make autumn the most colorful backdrop of the year.

In this natural setting, Elijah’s portraits took on a whole new vibe. With towering trees and trails blanketed in leaves, we found endless ways to show off his personality against the brilliant oranges, reds, and yellows of the season. We hiked through scenic paths and captured candid shots by open fields and rustic wooden bridges. Heritage Park’s peaceful ambiance allowed us to focus on Elijah’s natural confidence while blending it with the season’s earthy tones, which worked especially well against the park’s landscape and really made his portraits pop.

Throughout the session, Elijah was up for exploring the park’s different spots, giving us the chance to use everything from leafy paths to river views, creating a versatile collection of fall senior portraits that highlight not just the season but also his adventurous spirit.
