Conner and his family made the early morning drive from Swartz Creek to Detroit for his senior pictures, and when I say early, I mean early.
That was intentional.
We wanted to start while there was still some blue in the sky and the lights around the Detroit Institute of Arts were glowing. Conner started the morning in a suit, which looked pretty sharp against the white marble and architecture of the DIA.
As the sun came up, we changed things up and headed downtown.
From the DIA to Comerica Park
Conner loves baseball, and his entire family loves Detroit. In fact, everyone showed up in Tigers gear because they were heading to the game later that afternoon.
Naturally, Comerica Park had to be part of the session.
Conner threw on his Tigers jersey and we photographed around the ballpark, including the giant tiger sculptures and some of the surrounding streets. Getting there early gave us another bonus: downtown was still pretty quiet.
After Comerica Park, Conner switched to a more casual look and we wandered through the city for a completely different set of pictures.
That’s one of the advantages of a three-hour session. We had enough time for multiple outfits and locations without spending the morning racing from one spot to another.
Swartz Creek Senior Pictures Can Happen Anywhere
We eventually finished on Belle Isle with the Detroit skyline behind Conner, which seemed like the right way to end a morning built around a city his family loves.
If you’re looking for Swartz Creek senior pictures, don’t feel like you have to stay close to home. If your senior loves Detroit, let’s go to Detroit. If there’s another place that means something to them, that’s where we should start planning.
Senior pictures are a lot more interesting when the location actually means something.
