Detroit Law School Graduation Pictures – Sneak Peek with Kendra, Carelis & Heather

Cap, gown, and three times the ambition. Kendra, Carelis, and Heather just graduated with their Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Detroit Mercy, and they marked the milestone the only way law school grads should—by throwing on their regalia and taking over downtown Detroit.

We kicked off their session near one of Detroit’s most iconic cultural spots. The architecture? Classic. The energy? Unmatched. These three came dressed to celebrate, and it showed in every shot—whether they were strolling in sync, perched like queens on marble steps, or popping champagne like they just won a Supreme Court case.

What made this session extra special wasn’t just the caps and cords. It was the friendship. You could feel how much this moment meant to them as a group. From the laughter echoing between buildings to the cheers with bottles in hand, it was clear this wasn’t simply about a diploma. It was about the bond built during all-nighters, cold calls, and courtroom dreams.

While we didn’t shoot on campus, that didn’t matter. Detroit gave us everything we needed and a whole lot more. Grand steps, iconic alleys, street scenes, and even a mounted police officer who rolled up on a black horse for an epic surprise cameo. (Because what says “JD achieved” like a law grad posing next to a literal law enforcement officer on horseback?)

And let’s talk style for a second. These three were absolutely serving. Each rocked their own version of law school glam from sleek white dresses to bold heels and sharp robes trimmed in purple velvet. Graduation portraits should be about personality and not stiff poses. These sneak peek images absolutely prove the point.
