When I received a call for a special senior pictures session with a student on the Northville rowing team, I became extremely excited because I have never seen rowing crew senior pictures before. The first challenge was finding the perfect location and … for rowing … a sliding seat single scull. But, all of that was a piece of cake after a couple of phone calls.

We hit the water first thing in the morning when there was a cold chill in the air and the think layer of fog provided us with the perfect effect for the Ann Arbor Senior Pictures session. This was one of my favorite sessions this year for sure! I absolutely love the intensity of the pictures in the boat. After spending about an hour rowing on the water, we packed up and captured some really cool photos a few miles away with an amazing mural painted on a huge wall.

I’m still going through all of Mitchell’s proofs but I’m sure he’s anxious to see more images from his session. I selected some of my favorites so far and included them below for a sneak peek blog post.
