What would an Ann Arbor senior pictures session be without visiting The University of Michigan campus!
Ann Arbor Factoid:
Ann Arbor was founded in 1824 and quickly became a bustling community. The founding fathers originally wanted Ann Arbor to become the location for the state capital. When they were notified they lost their bid, they were determined to make Ann Arbor the future site of The University of Michigan. A 40 acre tract of land near the edge of town was selected and The University of Michigan opened its doors to 7 students in 1841. By 1865, the University of Michigan student enrollment grew to 1,145 making it the largest university enrollment of any college at the time!
The University of Michigan campus is my favorite location for Senior Pictures in Ann Arbor bar none. The architecture in the Law Quad is alone worth the trip alone with its incredible stonework and columns. They provide a gorgeous backdrop for senior portraits! Of course, there are a lot of other places to take senior pictures in Ann Arbor as well.
For Logan’s session, we visited the home of Michigan Football located along South State Street. The original Regents Field seated 400 onlookers from a single wooden wooden bleacher section. After many renovations and expansions, Michigan Stadium regularly holds over 114,000 fans for Saturday games each fall; although, the official seating capacity is 109,901. The “extra seat” is said to be reserved for former athletic director Fritz Crisler. Michigan has tallied 350 victories in The Big House and has drawn in excess of 35 million fans!
I love the proofs from Logan’s Ann Arbor senior pictures session and selected a couple of my favorites from the “Big House” and included them below.
