As a Detroit photographer, I have the fantastic opportunity to work with graduating high school seniors throughout Metro Detroit and southeast Michigan for their senior pictures each year. We head out into the beautiful Michigan outdoors and capture each senior in their element – in THEIR style! With so many incredible Michigan locations available, why would we choose to take their senior portraits inside in a boring studio? Like one parent told me this past week – “There are two major events worth having great pictures: your wedding and … your SENIOR PICTURES!”

Giselle is a Class of 2014 senior at Royal Oak high school and we used a favorite Metro Detroit location for her session. I know – for a FACT – her family is very anxious to see the images from her session, so I selected some of my favorites and included them below as a sneak peek. Even though it’s now almost September and many students are gearing up to head back to school, Metro Detroit senior pictures sessions are still going strong. In fact, it’s full speed ahead. The schedule is filling up even into October and November for students that want to take advantage of the great Michigan fall colors and crunchy leaves. The first winter snow session has already been booked too! Yup … SNOW! If you are daring enough to brave the the fluffy white stuff, schedule a session for your senior pictures in the snow! I book a limited number of snow sessions each winter because they depend so heavily on the weather, so book early!
