“Whoever said there’s nothing to do in Detroit, simply didn’t know where to go.“
… that was the quote is a store front we saw during a recent session for senior portraits in downtown Detroit. As a Detroit photographer, more and more students have been requesting downtown for their sessions. So much has changed over the past ten years!
I recently had the opportunity to work with Valencia, a Class of 2016 senior at Henry Ford Academy. We had a dry and sunny day for our session so we headed into a fantastic location and captured some great images for her session.
I know everyone is anxious to see some of the images from her session, so I posted some of my favorites so far as a sneak peek so everyone could check them out. I have only started going through the session, but found it difficult to narrow down the sneak peek selections because there are so many great images! Please be sure to leave a comment for her so she can receive some free prints from her session! Which one is your favorite?
If you are a Class of 2016 senior and still have not scheduled a session for your senior portraits this year, time is definitely running! I still have a couple openings spring openings and will do my best to work you in. If you are interested in scheduling a session, please contact me online or call me at 313-883-9500 to discuss available dates. Looks like you were really able to capture Lence’s smile! I love the one where she is sitting in the ‘frame’ against the backdrop of color!

Beautiful shots! Yes, love the one against the painted “garage door”; perfect senior pic. The one of her standing in front of the painted brick wall is fierce! Love them!

Absolutely gorgeous subject, scenery and photography! The headshot is stunning…and her sitting in front of the fountain is so beautiful…. the dark contrast behind her white jacket really makes her stand out. My favorite would be her sitting at the table. The background faded out is a wonderful affect that brings your eyes to her face. It looks so natural. Excellent work here.
