As a kids headshots photographer, I have the opportunity to work with a lot of child actors and child models alike for headshot portrait sessions. Over the years, one of the most important things to I’ve learned with actors and models is to never judge the amount of talent by the size of the package. This is absolutely essential when working with a child actor.
Most recently, I had the opportunity to work with Jaya for new kids acting headshots. I absolutely love her new images and selected a few of my favorites as a sneak peek below! Which one is your favorite?
If you are looking for child actor headshots, there are a few things to know. Kids headshots need to be updated about every six months. If they are very young (under 5), you may want to consider updating them even more often since their appearance changes so quickly. This can get quite costly which is why we provide a discount for coming back for updated images within six months. There are a few other photographers that do the same nationally
Child Actor and Model Headshot Tip: It is important to remember that acting and modeling are not the same thing as pageants and the headshots should not be “glam”. You don’t want poofy pageant dresses nor anything too cute and frilly unless your agent is specifically requesting it for a specific casting.
