As a Metro Detroit senior pictures photographer, I get to work with some amazing teens for their senior pictures each year. Senior pictures … Senior Portraits … Seniors Photos … they all mean the same thing. They may go by different names, but one thing is certain – graduating seniors are no longer happy settling for a boring indoor studio session for their pictures. They want to get outside and hit some great locations for a lifestyle session that really captures who they are as individuals.

Most recently, I recently had the opportunity to work with Avery, a Class of 2014 Senior at Grosse Pointe South High School in Grosse Pointe, Michigan for her senior pictures session. She wanted to do something “bohemian” for her pictures. So, I approached her session a little differently. I wanted to capture her in an easy, breezy, beautiful (my Cover Girl quote for the day) way.

Yup. The images from Avery’s session are definitely some of my favorites this year. No doubt about it. I initially went through her images to tag the ones that I “liked the most” for a sneak peek blog post and I quickly racked up 32 proofs. Yikes! However, you should hurry if you are specifically looking to schedule your session during the peak fall color season since the prime dates in October are quickly booking up!
