I recently held a photography portrait contest for kids ages 1-6 called “Kids Being Kids”. I received dozens of nominations over the course of three weeks. Selecting a single winner was an impossible decision so, instead, two finalists were selected to receive a free sitting. Between the two portraits sessions, I shot over 900 images! I filtered the images down to approximately 250 proofs for the parents to view.
Each family selected one image to put head-to-head in an online vote for the grand prize, a complimentary 1 year membership in the V.I.P. Portrait Program (as well as the satisfaction of having won, of course!) that will give them free sitting fees for an entire year for their immediate family.
Voting was open for 1 month and closed on Sunday, July 5, 2009 and it received a tremendous response! The results have been tallied ….
I am pleased to announce … Miss Olivia has won the July 2009 “Kids Being Kids” Contest!
I need to thank the parents of both children! Everyone was wonderful to work with and I hope to see all of you again in the near future!
The next contest for kids ages 6-12 will begin soon! Start thinking about whom you would like to nominate!
