Your day. Your vacation. Your destination.
When planning your wedding day, you may be willing to compromise on some things yet unwilling to bend for others. Many couples refuse to compromise on their wedding photographer. Well? Can you blame them? When the food is gone and the lights are dimmed, the wedding photographs often the only remaining reminders of the big day. A permanent visual record that quite often brings back the emotions of the big day. It is quite easy to see why most couples are not willing to compromise on their wedding photography.
Why should your children and family be any different? Nearly everyone these days owns a digital camera to take snapshots of their kids and family. These are great to capture the moments you might otherwise miss. But, there is a huge difference between snapshots and portraits. Those everyday snapshots you are used are great. Don’t get me wrong. But, there are times that deserve a little more attention to the details.
I encourage you to continue using your compact and point-and-shoot cameras and take as many snapshots as you can, especially on vacations. But, when the time comes to hire a professional to capture portraits, don’t compromise. Most importantly, find a photographer that will come to you. Someone to follow you on your big day, on your vacation, to your destination.
Unlike many photographers that work entirely from a studio, I am available for destination photography events. To help offset travel costs, many families invite their friends from the area to participate and join in the fun. If you are interested in destination wedding photography and destination vacation photography, please contact me for additional information.
Cheers!
