As a hair and salon photographer, I have the incredible opportunity to work with Detroit’s best hair stylist’s and makeup artists on many projects. Some of the funnest projects are hair photo shoot sessions specifically done for salons to create artwork and posters for their walls showing off samples of their hair styling. Any salon can hang “hair posters” from Schwartzkopf, Goldwell, Kérastase and others on their walls. But, what does that tell you about the salon’s own work? Absolutely nothing. Nada. Zilch.

I recently had the opportunity do a hair photo shoot with the owner of a company that creates absolutely incredible extensions and hair pieces. The entire hair photo shoot was done on-location with a few different models and the results look fantastic.
