The Best Photo Prints
Even though more and more people choose to go with downloadable Digital Proofs from their sessions, photo prints are still at the core of what we provide to our customers. As a result, we take photographic printing seriously and the lab we trust consistently delivers the highest quality prints.
That’s why we refuse to accept “okay” and settle on a local place that can provide “1 hour printing” or “same day service”. Our professional experience has always shown them to be … well … meh. They are “okay” for printing some snapshots from your smartphone to store in a shoe box, but the day-to-day and week-to-week consistency and color matching just aren’t there to be considered the BEST.
You have probably already seen excellent examples of our photography online, so here are a few things you so know about the paper, color and printing quality that allows us to provide the best photo prints that our clients demand!
The Best Paper
You can always expect top-notch photo prints from us. We print Lustre, Glossy, and Metallic photos on Kodak Endura professional paper. Our Deep Matte option is printed on Fuji Crystal Archive professional paper. All four surfaces offer superior quality and longevity for your prints.
- Lustre Paper – A semi-gloss paper with vibrant colors and excellent skin tones. This is by far our most popular paper option.
- Glossy Paper – Offers the most vibrant colors with a highly reflective, glossy finish.
- Metallic Paper – A metallic base adds a shimmer and vibrant colors with a highly reflective, glossy finish.
- Deep Matte Paper – True non-reflective matte paper that is great for skin tones, soft images and black & whites.
Our prints have a life expectancy of 100 years in typical display conditions in your home. 100 years! That’s 4 generations! You can expect up to 200 years when kept in dark storage! That’s serious archival quality!
The Best Color
We value the perfect color match and regularly calibrate our monitors to ensure color consistency with our lab. In addition, our lab calibrates their photo printers at the start of every day and every with new roll of photo paper! Simply put, a meticulous system of checks and balances is in place to ensure the colors on our professional prints remain consistent, day after day, year after year. Try that with Walgreens, CVS and Costco!
The Best Quality
Our lab inspects every single print that comes off the printer and after each finishing step is applied! If you order Heirloom Wall Display Prints with texture and mounting, they’ll be inspected every step of the way before they’re packaged. If any damage or flaws are found, an immediate correction is made and the affected prints are replaced! Your quality-assured prints are then carefully prepared for shipping.
