It all started a couple of years ago when I posted a photo of our own tree and everyone wanted to know how it was done. I was promptly bombarded with tree photos and the annual Christmas Tree Photography Contest was born!
This photo is easily within the grasp of most people that own a camera that allows you to manually control the setting. It wasn’t take with professional equipment nor was it done in a studio setting. Here are some tips and tricks to photograph your Christmas tree.
SUBMIT YOUR OWN PHOTO!
Submit a photo of your tree between December 1st, 2012 and January 1st, 2013 and be entered to win a $50 Coupon from Paul Manoian Photography. The top photos will be selected and posted online for a final vote where the winner will receive a $50 Coupon. It can be used to purchase prints from a past session, used towards a new photography session or even given away to friends or family!
How will the finalists be selected, you ask? By me. It’s my contest so I get to choose the finalists based on my own likes and dislikes. 😉 Even so, you will get to vote to select the final winner during the voting period on my blog. Also, in case you’re wondering, you’ll retain full copyright ownership of your photo. It’s your work and it belongs to you! GOOD LUCK!!
The Fine Print: I need to receive at least 3 submissions to offer the coupon. There really isn’t a point in having a “contest” with anything fewer than that. 🙂
